Printed and made in Great Britain. Uncommon condition for this early printing. Landscape format (Approx 14 x 10.5cm). Very Good condition minus a full split title Page and adjacent ‘Second Printing’ page and some bumping to the bottom back edge (see the image in the gallery area for an example of this). Black cloth binding is still a dark black completely free from any fading. Gold gilt lettering on the upper and lower spine is unblemished. 768 pages all mark free and secure to the spine. B&W illustrations/silhouettes. Folding plates of ship line flags and maps of various ports and ship parts diagrams. Includes both Naval & civilian/merchant ships.
